Puffy Eyes Remedies - How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes

Definition

Whenever you wake up in the morning and find that your eyes hidden beneath puffy lids then you can say your eyes has a puffy eyes problem. Don't worry about puffy eyes it is a very common problem and it has proper solution in medical science.

Puffy Eyes Causes

We know that there are plenty of blood vessels around the eyes, which can show through the thin skin, contributing in some cases to dark under-eye circles. Fluids that get trapped in eye tissue can trigger puffiness, while excess fat in the area can produce a permanent puffy look.

Puffiness under the eyes is sometimes happening due to lack of sleep, but this is not always the case. Puffiness eyes can also be caused by dehydration, sinus problems, allergies, heredity, medication, hormonal fluctuations, and a host of other reasons.

And the another cause of puffy eyes are too much sodium in a diet causing water retention, tossing and turning, excessive drinking of alcohol, and others as well.

Symptoms

Common symptoms of puffy eyes are-

  • Swelling around the eyes
  • Swollen, puffy eyelids
  • Itching eyes
  • Eye redness
  • Inability to close or open the eyes

Home Remedies to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes

Apply hemorrhoid cream to the puffy area. By using this type of cream it has known for years that in just the way it gets the swelling out of that other area, it works the same way for the face.

Rinse your face in cold water when you wake up or when puffy eyes attack anytime of the day to constrict blood vessels and reduce swelling.

You have to drink enough water which will also reduce eye puffiness. When a person is dehydrated the body starts storing water as a defense system and this will add to puffiness around the eyes.

Get enough sleep and don't overdose on salt and you should look younger and more attractive around the eyes in no time.

Eating lots of salt can cause water retention in your body (just like dehydration, above), so reducing your salt intake can in turn reduce your puffy eyes.
